DeAnna L'am
Empowering women to mentor girls
into womanhood
DeAnna wrote:
"It is up to us to model an empowered, self-respecting womanhood
to the girls in our midst.
Who else is there to set the tone for our daughters, granddaughters, stepdaughters, nieces, cousins, and other girls in our lives?
It is our exciting task to rise to this occasion by loving ourselves first,
then individually and collectively --
create empowered models for our girls."
DeAnna L'am founded Red Moon - Cycles of Women's Wisdom™ in 1994.
Dedicated to welcoming girls into womanhood, Red Moon focuses on building bridges between girls and women of different upbringings, cultures and beliefs -- through the use of ceremony.
Since founding Red Moon, DeAnna has been leading groups for girls and women throughout California and around the world.
DeAnna L’am was the first to bring Rites of Passage work to mixed groups of Jewish and Palestinian women in Israel/Palestine, which has helped participants bond as cycling women beyond all political differences and artificial divides.
DeAnna trains women to become Red Moon facilitators, leads Coming Of Age workshops for girls and women, and creates personalized ceremonies to celebrate turning points in women’s lives.
